Bring it on Home: BluesFest to Celebrate its 8th Year at the O2.

The annual Bluesfest is coming back to London this October to celebrate their 8thyear at the O2 with legendary alumni’s Van Morrison and Robert Plant.

Launched in 2011, the annual fest became one of the largest festivals in Europe to commemorate roots music. Based in London, the 4-day event presented a list of leading musicians from the world of Blues, Jazz, Soul and contemporary R&B. the like of Mavis Staples, Gregory Porter, Elvis Costello, Mary J Blige, Tedeschi Trucks, Tom Jones and last year headliners Hall & Oats among others who performed throughout the 8 year period of the fest.

This year headliners deliver a testament towards the origin of roots music and how it played a part in where the blues is today.

The first headliner to start off the first night (25.10.2018) is none other than “Proud Mary”John Fogerty with a guest appearance from The Steve Miller Band. Bluesfest alumni Robert Plant is set to return with his Sensational Space Shifters band on the second night –Friday- with Van Morrison as their special guest, while, Raphael Saadiq will be playing at Indigo the same day. Saturday and Sunday, see’s a collaboration between country and blues where Saturday headliners are Zac Brown and Beth Hart while at the Indigo The Robert Cray Band and special Guests Don Bryant Feat. The Bo-Keys will be joining the band. in the meantimeSunday The Counting Crows will be joined by Allison Krauss plus The White Buffalo to close on the night
