On Saturday, September 27th, the House of Holland presented their latest fashion collection at the Saatchi Gallery for London Fashion Weekend, and let’s just say that my friend and I weren’t the only ones extremely excited to see what Henry Holland had in store for us.
Holland is well-known due not only to his own genius creativity, but also for the people who frequent his shows. Past appearances have been made by Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Poppy Delevigne, Nick Grimshaw, and many more. Since his start in 2006, his label has only skyrocketed, becoming an internationally known brand, and much of his success is credited to the publicity he gains from his friends, including best friend and English model Agyness Deyn.
Holland’s start began with his famous rhyming slogan shirts that initially began as a joke between his friends. His most popular ones sport the sayings, “Get your freak on Giles Deacon”, “I’ll show you who’s boss Kate Moss”, and my personal favourite, “Do me daily Christopher Bailey”. Soon after, he began his label, House of Holland.
Now, nine years later, his brand is being presented at London Fashion Week and is being worn by countless celebrities around the world. His latest line boasts of bright colors and intricate patterns, along with excessive amounts of fur that could definitely prove useful for the upcoming months of winter.
For anyone looking to better their own style, London Fashion Weekend is definitely full of inspiration, but better yet, House of Holland already has more than enough pieces for everyone.
